If you post an example, may be I can help… but this is precisely why Activity-on-Node is so much better as a notation for CPM than Activity-on-Arrow.

I think its like the placebo effect, you throw in control packets to make sure u capture routing. Sorta like how they inject those chemicals when they want to check digestive tracks in the human body.
