They are found in and around Gujrat. They are the ‘disciples’ of Daulay Shah. Their heads are intentionally squeezed while they are babies, in order to keep them from growing. This results in an adult male or female, with the head half its size, and oddly shaped. They are called choohay (rats) because of this odd appearance. Im not sure of the history, but I think that Daulay Shah was some pir baba, who used to feed rats and take care of them. Thus people have been emulating a rat’s appearance by squeezing the heads of their babies, resulting in odd looking adults.
At the end of the day, it is just a ruse meant to draw sympathy from people and earn more money in the form of alms.

they come to my gaon every year to ask for money ..not sure why they look like that.. i seen my grandma telling folks not to refuse what they ask for

I went to a village in between Sialkot and Marakiwal and I saw these ‘Chui’ wearing usually a green long dress and pplz are so scared from them. PPlz hand-over him rupees before entering in their houses. A sane man always accompany him. They come almost everyday to visit each n every single house in the village.
Pplz scare if these ‘Chui’ said something negative then that’ll be bad for them so they as soon as quick hand over the rupees.
