:konfused: couldnt login to my .ca domain via ftp.. but from www i can get in my cpanel (works on top of http)

its pinging and ponging fine.. like 40ms intervals.. (pretty good) site is visible.. moment i try using port 21 (or telnetting to port 21) it says CANT access..

machine cant translate the .domain OR the access the ip.. so i was like.. WTF?:konfused:

so i looked in task manager.. (xp pro sp2) i remember i recently had to show bhanjay miyan’s video to my family so i re-installed (over installed version) my tvcard’s software+drivers..

one of them is winscheduler and one of them is a starting exe, i put both in msconfig so they start faster (small apps, make big difference)

so i endtasked winscheduler.. and :eek: it accesses the ftp..

sighz there are things in the world i dont even wanna think of :mudhosh:

any google/search/personal stories on this?

I have a satellite tuner card which I seldom use. However, if I start the viewer program which came with it, it first enables a relay to supply power to the LNB. I can hear the clicking of the relay. As soon as I hear the relay click, Windows XP Pro-SP2 gives me a warning that Windows firewall has been switched off. I cannot enable the firewall unless I stop supplying power to the LNB. WTH!

Personally, I don't like to put anything in my start up configurations. I like my system to start as quickly as possible. If I have to use anything, I can start it myself.
