hey all,
i’m going to Dubai in December for three days and am wondering if someone could tell me of things to do there or some websites. I’m staying at the airport hotel, is that nice?

yea i was about to ask the same question as on my way back to PAk( in december) i be staying in dubai for a day or so and have no idea wat to do or see..etc
so any one has any good idea about how to make trip worthwhile plz share with us...( i know the beaches r cool :ankhmarne waalla icon:)
by the way LUMS sorry TUMS) its better to stay in city( where lots of ppl r) rather then next to airport ( where lots of jahaz r)
I wouldn't mind getting this information either. I'm staying there in January for 3 days on the way back FROM Karachi. I'd probably be staying in the city.

seems like nobody knows about dubai
well as I remember, Dubai Airport is in the heart of the city,
the city centre is pretty close alongwith all the major hotels…
you can visit these sites for better information.. enjoy your trip..
Airport hotel is a nice place, but it is at least 15dhs(approx $5) away from da city.
If ur in2 shopping, these r da malls u will like
There are other malls too. If ur looking 4 a bargain, try da deira souk. The main gold bazaar is in deira. The price rate is same 4 all shops, but they have different making charges.
Beaches are superb, but dec-jan is cold @ nite specially near da beaches. Make sure u bring something warm. Various concerts are held during this period, so u never know who u can catch. Last week craig david was in & da concert was Xcellent. This week there r some desis in.
If ur a club lover, than don’t go anywhere else, this is da place. All of them have a formal dress code & a small overhead. Make sure ur over 21.
DON’T ride in a car which is not a cab. All cabs have a distinct paintjob, & a yellow light on da roof.
Sheesha joints r pleasant, if ur a sheesha lover. Thunderbowl, mamzar bowling centre r Xcellent joints 4 a bowling nite out.
Hatta, Jebel hafeet r scenic areas 2 visit, specially during dec-jan. Al Ain & Abu dhabi have a couple of nice places.
U can alwayz go on a safari in da desert which include overnight stay, belly dancing, food, & tons of fun.

There’s almost no shortage of stuff to do in Dubai. Check out the souqs, the malls, go wadi bashing, museums, arts centres, golf. If you’re into guided tours, there’s a Dubai City Tour and a Dubai Shopping Tour. The former takes you to the: Jumierah Mosque, Jumeriah Beach, Camel Race Track, Dubai Race & Golf Club, Sheikh Zayed road, the commercial area of Dubai with the World Trade Centre and Emirates Towers. They’ll take you past the famous Dubai creek (where you can catch some views of the Dubai skyline); the tour also includes the underground Dubai Museum. Shopping Tour takes you to Bur Juman and City Centre and Bur Dubai - ample opportunities to take in some shopping if you’re in the mood for that. http://www.godubai.com/explore/travel_desk.asp#1 i’d suggest squeezing in a visit to Abu Dhabi as well even though it may cut in into some of your travelling time. Abu Dhabi’s way calmer, quieter, and more laid-back than Dubai - and less crowded too 
You can get some great pictures by visiting the Corniche as well.
Abu dhabi is very beautifull capital of emirates.. i've lived there for quite a long time.. though it's very small but if you are visiting in month of december make sure you are in streets of abu dhabi.. it's all lightened & decorated for it's independance day... that's quite a view to see... don't forget to get some pics... 4 us as well.. i miss that alot..
