So the Dubai World Cup 2011 is going on at Meydan Racecourse today and since my day out has been ruined by a damaged toe, I thought I’d update people who are interested in Horses and Horse Racing in this thread.
Meydan Racecourse is an incredible work of architecture with such imposing stands and the grounds itself are marvellous. I had the luck of attending a couple of races during the Horse Racing Carnival and they have a Heritage Centre about half a mile down the road to do with Horses and Falconry. Its truly a testament to their history and the relationship between the desert dwellers and these magnificent animals.
Anyway, results as they came.
