Re: Dubai visit visa ??

For dubai you can apply for the visa from Emirates. Book your tickets with Emirates and then apply for visit visa from their website. I did this last year and got Visa in 4 working days. Everything was online, no paper submissions or visit to embassy. I applied from France and the visa fee was 64 euro. They will send you a letter that you will show the airline for check-in and then the person at the immigration counter in Dubai. Find more info from the link below.

For Turkey, if you have a valid resident permit of an EU country then you can get visa at the airport. Couple of my friends visited Turkey and they got the visa on spot. However, if your wife lives in Pakistan then for her it will be a different procedure.

For Malaysia, it will be quick. I think maximum it will take two weeks for you to get their visa.

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

Thanks for your input.

You mean if i go to pakistan and apply online along with my wife from there i would be able to get my visa in 3,4 days?? remember we have got green passport..would this e visa is valid for green passport holders? do we need to show any marriage certificates??

cheers

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

As of April 17, 2014, Turkey no longer issues visas at the airport. If you qualify (i.e. citizen of EU, America, Canada, Australia etc or are a Pakistani/Indian with a green card or approved residency etc) you have to get an e-visa online. It costs $20, and you print out the PDF and just keep it in your passport to show upon arrival. You can apply for the e-visa up to 48 hrs before your departure.

There is another thread on Turkey here where I linked the website for the Turkey e-visa.,

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

Hi,

I have chekced the requirements for Turkey visa and it seems they need more documentation...long flights and expensive air fare
Anyhow under the same circumstances mentioned above if i opt for Dubai what would be the procedure? not bothered abt weather in sep...just wana make sure if i get pakistan a week before my wedding and apply for our(me and wife) visa on very first day..would i b able to get it back within a week so that we can go immediately after wedding..any visa agent? r any e visa?

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

Yes, this is the process. I also have green passport and had no issues. You will have to book your tickets with Emirates and pay for it before you can apply for the visa using their service. This means you must travel on Emirates and not any other airline, this is one condition they have.

Once you have your confirmed tickets go to your account on Emirates website and click on manage booking link. Once there, you will find link to apply for UAE visa. In this case Emirates will be your sponsor and forward your application for visa processing.

I don’t think you will need to show your marriage certificate, but you will need to tell them the purpose of your visit. It can be holidays or honeymoon. The link I mentioned in previous message has list of required documents.

=====

*From this information you must consider the following things.
*
1 - Both of you should have machine readable passports otherwise you will not be allowed to leave the airport (I have seen this personally)

2 - Take care of expiry dates of your passports, in your case they must be valid for next 6 or more months when you plan to go

3 - Have a return ticket

Also contact emirates office where you are living to get more information. E.g. can you book tickets now for September (because they will be cheaper) and apply for visa later in August? Such queries can be best answered by the emirates people.

Also apply well before your travel and not on the week you plan to travel.

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

I once applied through travel agent,he took 12k pkr and held a 2 lac check for security purpose.I provided him passport,3 pictures and NIC copy and i got visa very next day without any formality of bank statement or hotel booking.

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

Much appreciated..

The way you have explained to me it sounds that i can apply online for both of us even from here(uk). All i need to book the tickest, i have got her details. I am assuming this would be e visa not stamped visa…am i right? if this is the case then at some stage our visa will be stamped as well??

cheers

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

where did you apply from i.e.city? can you pass me the contact details of the agent ..thanks

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

I'm sorry ,i didn't apply trough travel agents located in Isb/rwp.

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

ekumunng what do u suggest??

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

Yes, you can apply from anywhere. You will receive a letter (PDF file) that will have your visa confirmation. When you will reach Dubai, just give your passport and the letter to the immigration officer and he will put a stamp in your passport. There will be no visa sticker, a stamp with some number will be put in the page, along with Entry stamp which is usual.

For complete up to date information, contact Emirates offices and tell them your situation. That you plan to visit along with your wife on xyz date and will apply for UAE visa using their services.

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

for her is there any Mahram issue? as i will be applying for her before wedding..i need to apply for her as individual application not as my spouse..but will travel after wedding..

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

No, it should not. The Mahram issue arises during Hajj only and for Saudi Arabia as far as I know. You'll be surprised to see European girls all alone in Dubai and the preferential treatment that white skins get at the airport.

Re: Dubai visit visa ??

I went alone,there wasn't any such issue.
