DUBAI, 26 May 2008 — The Dubai Police, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs, have launched an awareness campaign against cross-dressing by young people. The phenomenon of girls dressing and acting like the opposite sex and vice versa has increased among Emirati youth in high schools and colleges, especially during the past five years.

^ I believe it all started in prisons, where prisoners are not allowed to have belts so their trousers will be dragging down all the time. "Show your underwear" is probably the most crass and senseless fashion wave for men, in recent years.
