I’ve been reccomended Eurika (2**) and Lotus (3***) hotels to stay, any reviews? How far are these from the airport and the main attractions in Dubai? Can any1 reccommend any cheap hotels in dubai for family staying?
Go to Imbrahimi restaurant. The dinner buffet is very good.
Dubai airport is right inside the city and nothing is very far. But there is a growing traffic problem. Hotels are expensive is Dubai. The prices have really gone high in the last couple of years. I don't think you will be able to find any decent hotel for less than US$ 250 per night. Try to get a package deal. People usually go to Dubai for shopping and not much else.
^ what are you talking about? I was there early this year. I paid about <$75USD / nite for 5 star hotel. Taxi driver recommended that I can get something decent for $50USD too but he said you are here only for 2 nights so enjoy :)
^ wow! that's a really good rate... can you tell me the name of the hotel. I'm going to a conference later this year for two days and I've only been able to find 3-stars and 4-stars in the $200 range.
Riqqa road in Deira is full of good quality cheap hotels and furnished apartments. Also in Bur Dubai. Try furnished apartment instead of the hotels. The cost varies. On Riqqa, ranges start from AED.180.
on a corporate budget, I need to justify that I’ve done my research to find the most economical prices… esp. if the conference alone costs around $1000 to attend and the airfare around $1200.
Why are you always bragging on this web-site? “oh i have my comprehensive exam” “oh i am buying an apartment” “oh i am flying to japan” “oh i am going to dubai” “oh i am buying a new car”.
by the same token... why're you reading it - you have discretionary options to ignore.
err... and when'd I brag? God Forbid - never flown to Japan btw, only "asked" about Dubai, and inquired from car owners about their experiences. That's what the website is for ~ sharing information... :p
havent u got anything else to do…pls get a life…as far as i have seen umar bhais posts…he never brags although he gives very good advice…he has good knowledge and a talented individual…are u feeling jealous of that?
he is going on conference for work purposes and the company has given him a tight budget to follow for it thats why he is trying to find the most economical way…whats wrong with that?
let me know if you want me to trace their phone num / address etc. They don't offer free pickup/drop off at airport. Next time, i would go somewhere where they would. just makes you feel lil more like a king like that.
Taxi rite from airport are slightly more xpensive cuz they start with like 15dhs, so its like 30dhs for me to go to the hotel...as far as i remember.
Broadway hotel is a 3-star hotel and not a 5-star hotel. I still my old POV, a 5 star hotel in Dubai will cost you around US$ 250/night. The best option is to go with a tour operator if you are going for a visit.
Hotels are mostly 250 dirhams per night thats around 68 dollars . The exchange rate being the ever smae of 3.65 . If you want i can book you a room or two over here. I'l recommend you stay in Riqqa or muaraqqabat area. and if you wanna save a further 30 bux r something get a taxi from outside the airport . there's foot bridge going to parkign lot outside the airport. get a taxi from there . it'l cost less. but thats only if u'r on a very tight budet.
If you'r coming alone, the bus service here is excellent. it goes ....well .. everywhere from anywhere.
Rent a cars gonna cost you around 22$ a day , the cheapest ..
