Duas

Assalam-o-alaikum

What is a dua to read for the acceptance of duas? Has anyone witnessed any miracles in life? What’s a way to get closer to Allah?

We know if Allah forgives our sins, we never commit the sin again. So if we commit the sin again , it means we have not been forgiven. So then does this mean we were not sincere in our repentance?

Are our duas not accepted because we are not sincere enough? How does one become sincere?

How does one strengthen their iman?

Re: Duas

For having duas accepted, we need to have confidence that our duas will be accepted, i.e. we have to expect from Allah that He will accept our duas. Another important thing is that we have to earn and consume in a halal manner. So though the sincerity may be there, but the consumption (i.e. eating) of haram blocks acceptance of duas.

Re: Duas

Recite Darood sharif before & after the dua. The dua after a fraz, ishraaq & tahajjud salah is accepted. The dua of an ill person & a traveller is accepted. Dua of a father is accepted for his son/ daughter. Dua of a rozadaar at the time of* iftaar* is accepted. Dua after giving sadaqa is accepted.

Re: Duas

Walaikumussalam

Recite astaghfar as much as you can...indeed Allah is all hearing

a time of tahhajud to get closer to Allah subhan wa ta Allah...and the time of acceptance of dua as well...a company pious people can get you closer to Allah subhan wa taAllah...

In addition to the above mentioned time by sop...at the time of raining & btw azan and iqamah dua accepted...you have to keep on asking with out losing hope...but with faith it will be accepted inshaAllah..

may Allah strenghten our emaan and may Allah subhan Wa taAllah be pleased with us Ameen

Wa ‘Alaykum salaam diya01

All Duas in the Blessed Quran and from authentic ahadith are good. One should have sincerity, faith and of course halal rizq.

Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the life to come and keep us safe from the torment of the Fire (2:201)

Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate from the truth after You have guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Your grace. Verily You are the Giver of bounties without measure. (3:8)

My Lord! surely I stand in need of whatever good Thou mayest send down to me. 028:024

Abdullah bin Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) used to say: “Allahumma inni as’alukal-huda wat-tuqa wal-afafa wal-ghina (O Allah! I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity and self-sufficiency)”.
[Muslim].

Yes, Alhamdulilah I have experienced a few life-changing in my life but am not sharing with anyone. Allah Almighty the Ever-living is always there with open hands; it is we who have to turn to Him.

If you read the following you will come to know that Allah Almighty is very close to us and very eager to get even closer. It is we who have to open our heart to Him.

"And whosoever is conscious of Allah, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Indeed Allah has sent a measure for all things." *(Quran: 65/2-3)
*

Abu Hurayra said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Allah Almighty said, 'I have declared war on anyone who shows enmity to a friend of Mine. My slave does not draw near to Me with anything I love more than what I have made obligatory on him. And my slave continues to draw near to Me with superogatory actions until I love him. When I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. If he were to ask Me for something, I would give it to him. If he were to ask Me for refuge, I would give him refuge.'"** [al-Bukhari]**

Anas reported from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in what he reported from his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic. He said, "When the slave comes towards Me a hand-span, I go an arm-length towards him. When he comes towards Me an arm-length, I go a fathom towards him. When he comes towards Me walking, I go towards him running."** [al-Bukhari]**

To err is Human, all humans except for the Prophets (peace be upon them all) are fallible.

If you try to keep your prayers regular, you’ll notice the sinning gets lesser and lesser.

Allah Almighty is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. *[az-Zumar : 53]*

Narrated Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that his Lord said: “My slave commits sin, then he says, ‘O Allaah, forgive me my sin.’ Then Allaah says, ‘My slave has committed a sin, but he knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sin and takes away sin. So I forgive My slave.’ Then he commits sin again, and says, ‘O Allaah, forgive me my sin.’ Then Allaah says, ‘My slave has committed a sin, but he knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sin and takes away sin. So I forgive My slave.’ Then he commits sin again, and says, ‘O Allaah, forgive me my sin.’ Then Allaah says, ‘My slave has committed a sin, but he knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sin and takes away sin. So I forgive My slave.’ *…” **Al-Bukhaari (7507) and Muslim (2758)*

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu): I heard the Prophet Muhammad (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) saying, "If somebody commits a sin and then says, 'O my Lord! I have sinned, please forgive me!' and his Lord says, 'My slave has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for it, I therefore have forgiven my slave (his sins).' Then he remains without committing any sin for a while and then again commits another sin and says, 'O my Lord, I have committed another sin, please forgive me,' and Allah says, 'My slave has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for it, I therefore have forgiven my slave (his sin). Then he remains without Committing any another sin for a while and then commits another sin (for the third time) and says, 'O my Lord, I have committed another sin, please forgive me,' and Allah says, 'My slave has known that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and punishes for it I therefore have forgiven My slave (his sin), he can do whatever he likes." [Sahih Bukhari : Volume 9, Book 93, Number 598]

Ibn Mas'ud narrated that the Prophet said: “Indeed, Allah is more happy with the repentance of His slave than a man who stops in a barren, desolate land; with him he has his riding animal. He then goes to sleep. When he wakes up, [he realizes that] his mount is gone. He searches for it until he is on the verge of dying. He then says, ‘I will return to the place wherein I lost it, and I will die there.’ He went to that place, and he was then overcome by sleep. When he woke up, his mount was [standing] right beside his head: on it was his food, his drink, his provisions, and the things he neded. Allah is more happy with the repentance of his believing slave than the aforementioned man when he finds his mount and his provisions.” [al-Bukhaari: 6308 ; Muslim: 2744]

THE MERCY OF ALLAH
*
“Among those who came before you was a man who killed 99 people. He then asked to be guided to the most prolific worshipper from the inhabitants of the earth, and he was directed to a monk. He went to him and told him that he had killed 99 people, and he asked whether it was possible for him to repent. The monk said, ‘No.’ The man killed him, thus making him the 100th victim.

He then asked to be directed to the most knowledgeable of the Earth’s inhabitants, and he was guided to a scholar. He went to him and told him that he had killed 100 people, and he asked whether it was possible for him to repent. The scholar said, ‘Yes, and who will stand between you and repentance. Go to such and such land, for in it dwell a people who worship Allah, so go and worship Allah with them. And do not return to your land, for it is indeed a land of evil.’ He left, and when he reached the halfway point of his journey, he died.

The angels of Mercy and the angels of Punishment disputed with one another [in regard to his case]. The angels of Mercy said, ‘He came to us repentant, advancing with his heart towards Allah.’ The angels of Punishment said, ‘Indeed, he never performed any good deeds.’ Then an angel came in the form of a human being, and both groups of angels asked him to be the judge between them. He said, ‘Measure the distance between the two lands. Whichever land he is closer to is the land that he is closer to [in terms of being of its people]. They then measured the distance and found that he was closer to the land that he was heading towards, and so it was the angels of Mercy who then took his soul.*” [al-Bukhaari: 3470 ; Muslim: 2766]

Al-Haafiz Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali said:

Ibn Abi Dunya narrated with his isnaad that ‘Ali said: “The best of you is every tempted one who repents (i.e., every time he is tempted by this world, he repents).” It was said, “What if he sins again?” He said, “He should ask Allaah for forgiveness and repent.” It was said, “What if he sins again?” He said, “He should ask Allaah for forgiveness and repent.” It was said, “What if he sins again?” He said, “He should ask Allaah for forgiveness and repent.” It was said, “For how long?” He said, “Until the Shaytaan is defeated.”

‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azeez said in his khutbah: O people, whoever commits sin, let him seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent. If he does it again, let him seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent, and if he does it again, let him seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent. For it is sin which hangs around a person’s neck, and doom comes from persisting in sin.

Re: Duas

"Allah does not wish to place any hardship on you: He only wishes to cleanse you and perfect His blessing on you, so that you may be thankful." (Qur'an 5:6)
"Believers, enter fully into surrender to Allah." (Qur'an 2:208)

Abu Hurayra said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer although there is good in each. Desire that which will bring you benefit, and seek help from Allah and do not give way to incapacity. If something happens to you, do not say, 'If only I had done such-and-such.' Rather say, 'The decree of Allah. He does what He will.' Otherwise you will open yourself up to the action of Shaytan."** [Muslim]**

Hz. Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) said, "No believer makes Dua and it is wasted. Either it is granted here in this world or deposited for him in the Hereafter as long as he does not get frustrated."

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “There is no Muslim who calls upon Allah with words in which there is no sin or severing of family ties but Allah will give him one of three things: either He will answer his prayer soon, or He will store it up for him in the Hereafter, or He will remove something bad from him that is equivalent to what he is asking for.” They said, “Then we should make a great amount of dua’a’.” He said, “Allah is greater.[Al-Tirmidhi, 3573; classed as saheeh by al-Tirmidhi and others]

Salman (RAA) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), “Your Rab is modest and kind. A person raises his hands in HIS court and HE leave them empty, Allah shies from it.” [Tirmizi & Abu Dawood]

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), “Do dua’a to Allah with this confidence that HE will accept it and know this well that Allah doesn’t accept the dua’a done with a negligent and careless heart.** [Tirmizi]**

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “(The dua’a’) of any one of you will be answered so long as he is not hasty in seeking a response and does not say, ‘I prayed but I have not had a response.’” [Al-Bukhaari, 5981; Muslim, 2735]. When the people asked him what does ‘being hasty’ mean, the Messenger (PBUH) replied “That the person say “I did dua’a again and again but my dua’a wasn’t accepted and afterwards he becomes hopeless and leaves the dua’a. This is called haste.[Muslim]

Re: Duas

:wsalam: & Peace diya01,

You may read any dua in between the “Adhaan” & “Iqama”, as narrated in hadith that any dua which were asked in between “Adhaan” & “Iqama” will be accepted. The greatest miracles of miracle is that we done the sin, either willingly or unwillingly, yet we are alive by the Grace of Almighty Allah and HE the Most Merciful still given us time for repentance, and if person would like to get closer to Almighty Allah then he/she shouldn’t indulge in ‘Shirk’, be patience, be thankful and always offer optional salats as many as you can.

The Iblis (Shaitan) is always with us who incline us to do sin again and again. He will continuously keep inclining us till we are alive, but the forgiveness of Almighty Allah is far greater and He will always forgives those who repentance. If possible keep yourself in state of Wudu and read Astagfar whenever you are free.
