i try to copy Allama Iqbal in my poetry sometime…
and this is just one of those where i did try better…

qalib-e-muslim me phoonk de phir who rooh purani
ussi purani waza’ ki de ik nayee zindagani

chasm ko quwat-e-deed, deed-e-kaleemi se wara de
woh deed keh jis ko chundhyae na jalwa-e-toor ki tabani

hay aazar-e-faqr behtar in ko aaraesh-e-qasar se
zoq-e-sultani de in ko, na de shoq-e-sultani

aahoo-e-aawara ko anaa.n taab kar, soo-e-manzil le chal
khud apne sehra se mafrooq karey hai issay yeh sargardani

shoresh-e-mehshar se qalb ke har goshay ko larza de
issi balwa se miTaa de is saaket fizaa ki weerani

zulmat-e-asr ka nateeja keh qalb-e-muslim bhee sayah hai
woh dil-e-roshan de keh sharmaaye qamar-e-noorani

zara-e-khak ko akhtar-e-keheksha.n kar de
khudi me de is ko rif’aat-e-aasmaani

dil-e-tang ko ham chashm-e-sehra-e-kushaad kar de
fikar me de is ko darya ki rawaani

kissi ilteja ko kabhi sharf-e-ijabat bhee ho
har iltemaas-e-deed pe na de jawab “lan tarani”***

some day i will post my nazm in the “zameen” of a part of Iqbal’s nazm “Tuloo-e-Islam”: Barri mushkil say hotaa hay chaman main deeda war paida:)

yaar sis is way out of my head :( sorry cant understand a word in here but i hope ke achi hogi :) it is very very very very very very hard urdu

and gadha yaar, i have been so much dishearted by ppl who cant grasp this form of urdu that i have also resorted to simpler words like the she'r u see in my signature....

just cant market classical urdu these days....
