Dua to stop bad habits of a loved one

Asalam Alaikum,

Is there any Dua or name of ALLAH (SWT) that can be receited to stop a loved ones bad habit (smoking, etc).

You just pray for them sincerely, pray that Allah SWT show them right path and give them hidayah,and don't give up keep praying.
Insha Allah they will get hidayah and you will get reward for making Dua.

"Ya shahidoo" recite this name 21 times (before and after Durood shareef) before sunrise, while reciting place your hand on that person's forehead and keep your face towards sky.
If he/she is your daughter or son then you can do that, if no then ask her/his mother to do so, InshAllah every thing will be fine and keep praying n never lose hope.

I'm not sure whether its narrated in hadith or not that 'if someone would like to stop his or her bad habits, he or she must not do it for 40 days. This is how he or she rids away from any bad habbit.

Dua ke saath Amal bhi zaroori hy. :)
