But to what extent dua salam has converted to hello hi. I’ve still seen some burgers saying ‘nastaleeq’ Assalam o Alaikum. Its just we all start conversation on phone by saying ‘Hello’.

I don’t. I still pick up the phone and say As salaam’alaikum.
And I do salam to all relatives and friends unless its a non muslim I’m talking to. Then I say hello/hi/good afternoon etc.
Most people …well all the ppl I guess around me do salam and not hi/hello and we still say…salam dua hue ussey…not hi hello hue.
