Dua (Prayer) And its Qubooliat (acceptance)

A person prays at the time of difficulty.

Maybe goes to Hajj and prays with depth and sincerity.

or

Offers Prayer (salat) fives times and makes dua for something legit each time.

And the dua is not accepted (no qubooliat)

What are your thoughts on it?

The acceptance of du'a comes with it's conditional adaab.

To be consuming halal
To be clean, physically
To perform du'a earnestly, (meaning that when it is made you are confident that Allah (SWT) will grant it)
To have the prior intention to be grateful when the fruit of the du'a has been granted.
To supplicate durood on the prophet Muhammad (SAW) with every du'a made
To be passionate in the du'a that it makes you cry (increases the chances)

Finally we believe that all du'a are accepted but not always granted or manifest in the way it was intended by the supplicator.

The opinion one has of his Lord is the opinion in which his Lord deals with him.

To pray during the times of ease as well as praying in the times of difficulty also increases the chances.

To supplicate with wise words and call on the Attributes of Allah (SWT) ... when asking for wealth pronounce the Attribute of 'Ya Al-Kareem' meaning O The Generous One. When in need of justice then to pronounce 'Ya Al-Adl' meaning O The Just, and so on.

Lastly, if you see nothing happen then to be content that it is better for you, and that will be given to you in the Hereafter.

Peace Psyah!

Agreed.

Dua is ibadat itself.
It makes one humble.
Allah is everywhere and with going to jajj it may make the chances better but not really a guarentee since there is no guarentee anyway for dua to be accepted. One asks, and that's it. Have a strong hope for dua being accepted.

Yes those conditions like consuming halal do apply.

Now the question is:

What if a person has not been so religious and makes niyat to be abiding by religion IF dua is accepted?

For example:

The person sayas: "Give me that o merciful Allah, I will stop doing something bad."

Or

The person says: "Give me that o merciful Allah, I will do something good."

The only thing I know to do in this case is to undertake du'a for forgiveness and/or do Tawbah on the sinful things of the past and then to seek help in correcting from that disposition.

To say that "I know that I do not deserve such and such, but to whom shall I ask except You?"

Say that "one will be good, and that you wish assistance to maintain that good and tawfiq to be asking good in the best way, and tawfiq to say that you are blessed already to be in a position where you are asking for good no matter how deficient it may be, but to whom else can this plea be made, if not to the Lord of the Universe?"

Yes. Indeed.

My question acually was more towards those dua which puts 'condition' on Allah (Nauz).

You give me that and I will do that. Not a good way to ask for something. Right?

But looking in different way one hopes if Allah wants for me to be good and does not want me to go stray...then perhaps the dua will be accepted. Not acually making a reciprocal 'deal'.

Some people say; I will go to umrah if this happens. I will stop being abusive to spouse if this happens. I guess in this regard it may not be a bad way to ask something.

A counter argument will be: Just do the good anyway. Because it is expected of you.

So I gave you two scenarios.

1- Putting condition before one does something which is good.

2- Promising (not putting condition) that one will do something good, which is 'extra' and beyond regular good deeds.

Any thoughts on it?

Making Dua and Qubooliat of Dua is delicate matter.

Re: Dua (Prayer) And its Qubooliat (acceptance)

Remember Brother! If ur prayer not fulfilled its doesn't mean k its not accepted. The rewards of those prayers (Dua's) which u didn't get in this world will get on the day of judgement.
