A man once asked a scholar:
Am I from the righteous?
The scholar replied: " If you make regular Du’as for your parents, then you are amongst the righteous( based on a hadith The Prophet (s) said " and a righteous child that prays for them(deceased parents )
And if you forget to pray for them, then you are not from the righteous depending on the level of your forgetfulness. So increase your dua for parents by saying: " My Master, forgive me and my parents…(Surah Ibrahim: V:41) because this verse captures 2 things: Righteousness and Forgiveness."
