does anyone know of a dua or wazifah you can read on a tasbee for someone who had a short temper gets angry easily

I think it is mention in hadith also that if a person get anger, he/she should stand-up if sitting and vice-versa, drink water if not drinking at that time. However, not sure about the part of drinking water remaining I think is correct.

Furthermore, one should be in state of wudu and if possible keep fasting nafli (roza) so avoid this habbit.

Not exactly right ... bro LLK

Drink water - yes, If standing sit down, if sitting lie down ... not stand up ...

Also breathing is good too ...

But the best way for long term anger reduction is to weaken the nufs ... performing of fasts regularly and eating less, reminding oneself of the evils behind losing ones temper and gradually placing ones hikmah to make decisions rather than on impulse. Subdue the nufs ... through lots of exercises ... and view the act of getting angry with contempt and think of it as evil.

Various azdkar should be recited and there is no reason not to follow the advice of Hakuna Matata ... as long as you do not give it a ruling or say it is this or that without evidence, but reciting such things as HM suggested are helpful and they work.

Pardon me for my irrlevant post but I would like to ask something to brother Psyah that 'which thread was that where we talked about abridge tafsir of Ibn Katheer? Brother TLK is also posted his comments in that thread. I was searching but couldn’t find it. I would like to ask something if you could pm me the link of that thread. :jazak:

From my personal experience, Reciting ]**أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ** does help too. If I person keeps in mind that anger is haram, he would think thrice before losing the temper.
