I have heard that its good to read darood before and after making dua cuz daroods are accepted prayers but I am not sure what the source is. I am just wondering if anyoen else has heard it too and is it from a hadith or when did it start?
Secondly, what do you say after your namaz?
Normally I do tasbih-e-fatima, ayat ul kursi a****nd then darood and then dua

After Namaz, I found this in Fiqh as sunnah and searched other websites.
After the Salah
1) Astaghfirullaah 3 times
2) 3 Qul surahs(3 times each during Fajr and Maghrib)
3) Ayat al Kursi, recommended after each salah(An angel guards you from this time to the next salah)
4) Tasbih, Tahmid, Tahleel 33 times each and La Ilaah Illaah Wahdu La Sharikala, Lahul Mulku wa Lahul Hamd wa huwa Ala Kulli Shayeen Khadeer. Once.(All the sins are forgiven, if even they like foam of a sea)
Then Any dua is recommened But see to that Dua consists the Attributes of Allah thas Asma wal Siffat, Like Ya Ghafoor, Ya Rahman, Your the Protector, Sustainer etc. But if you cant remember this much then **Ya Hayu Ya Kayum **is more then enough.
