For the first time in the last five years, I missed it. Had a late night on Saturday. No TV on Saturday at all (so missed the reminders on news). Woke up late on Sunday morning. Didn’t even had time to check my email or look at the PC, (so kinda missed the usual Windows start-up note as well). Dropped kids to the Sunday Islamic school, where a gentlemen with a big grin said “aaj late ho gayay aap!” (I am sure he said it to more people). Just smiled back in return. Didn’t click then, either.
How I found out? Noticed a missed call on my cell phone around 11 am. Checked to see the time and it was one hour AFTER! Huh? Checked my watch. Checked the phone time again, and then the light bulb - DUH!!!
Thank God for Windows. My computer's on all the time so the time change notice happened at midnight when I wasn't looking, but in the middle of the day I noticed my cable TV and PC were 1 hour ahead. Tubelight turned on at that point.
My dad woke us up an hour early on saturday announcing that the time was to change. Grumpily I went upstairs and told him DST was to take effect as of sunday not saturday Didn;t go back to sleep either after that, so I was very well prepared!
I also missed it for the first time in my life. But I had nothing to do on sunday, was home all day. Only realised it during Nashta (or Brunch more like) at around 12ish.
Well my dad changed all the clocks on the Friday before DST, LOL I thought it was 12 a.m. so i went to sleep, when it was actually 11 p.m. I did that on Friday and Saturday LOL.
