I have a very weird problem… I have a patch by my ankle that has become very discolored… like three shades darker than the rest of my body… and it looks like its dryness… I constantly put vaseline and cocoa butter on it to make it go away, and sometimes it fades… but for the most part its still very obvious… now I have the same problem on my freaking chest! Has anyone had a similar problem… and how do I get rid of this severe dryness? I got an appointment with the derm. but its still two weeks away, so I wanna try some other things before then! Thanks ![]()

Good thing you are going to the Doctor he will tell you what it is.
in the mean time eat Natural forms of Vitamin 'C' and 'E' not synthesized
Vitamin 'E' found mainly in Wheat Germ sprikle generously over your cereal daily.
Vitamin 'C' found in Citrous, increase the use of any kind you like!
add to that increase or start eating lots of Spinach and Blueberries and also fresh fruits and nuts........Good Luck:)
Re: Dryness->discoloration?
the same thing happened to me on my hand/back of legs/upper arm and it turned out to be excema. no matter how much cream/medication i put on it, it wouldn't go away. but eventually it was gone after a few months. it flares up from time to time and i use aveeno - it's pretty good and stops the itch too.
