You need to exfoliate gently first to get rid of any dead flaky skin and then apply a deep moisturiser, which should work better that way. And it its still really dry then try using pure rose oil as a moisturiser at night for a few days and you'll really see the difference.
dry skin is a problem in the winter months especially if you have central heating. It sucks out the moisture out of your skin. Its less of a problem in pakistan because of the lack of central heating, the winters arent as severe and the homes are more open to outside humidity levels.
Get a humidifier and make sure the relative humidity is atleast 35-40 % in the room. My niece started to develop mild exzema and no lotions helped. The humidifer did the trick.

Fanta try Lancome's Clarifying Exfoliating Gel...its probably the best exfoliating scrub....i use it once a week and i can see the difference right away on my skin :) Its white wax micro-beeds are very soft so it won't damage your skin unlike many other scrubs.

they r as good as those fancy loofahs, balkay i bet in the west they’d be exotic for being natural etc
this is not to be used on the face tho
to make an exfoliatory paste for face aik paao BADAAM ko pees k doodh aur arq-e-gulaab k saath mila lo, its an excellent exfoliator paste and u dont have to buy any mehengi scrubbing creamz
even besan is a good exfoliator n as shahreen mentioned oatmeal mixed with honey
ab yeh mat kehna meri tarhaan k u r too lazy to use it
