Dry skin around the eyes

Hello,

For years, I have had dry skin around my eyes and its really getting to me now. Its not dry, as in flaky but its dry enough to make my concealer look cakey. My eyeliner never looks nice either.

I don’t want to put hydrocortisone cream on it as i don’t want it to go worse as the skin around the eyes is thin as it is.

I have tried Ester Lauder Repair cream, Vaseline, Olive Oil etc but nothing is making the skin smooth again. I want to be able to apply concealer where it looks creamy, not cakey :frowning:

Anyone get any suggestions?

have you tried castor oil?
try dotting some on every night on clean skin before you go to bed.

Aquaphor - Eucerin soothing skin balm works well. You can apply it to any dry area on the face including lips. If you apply it everynight before you go to sleep it should help the skin by the morning. It has personally worked for me.

i used elta's intensive moisturizer under my eyes this morning and i liked it a lot.

you can also use MAC's fast response eye cream before makeup...i've heard people really like it.

I've had good results with MAC's skin care line as well.....

I would second Aquaphor, its excellent for dry sensitive skin. Since it is thick, probably best to apply it at night and keep the makeup on hold until your skin gets better.
