Hey does anybody know what to do for dry scalp besides head and shoulders?? My scalp goes nuts in the winter.

I find that H&S actually makes dandruff even worse. Nizoral has worked on me in the past.

The following is more for dry hair, but it may work for a dry scalp too! If you want, you can try rubbing some warm olive oil into your scalp and wrapping a warm towel around your head so that the heat is trapped. Leave it like that for about 15 minutes and then wash your hair. See if it makes any difference.

Or you can try coconut oil for the hair or some of those other hair oils you find in desi shops.

Beware the directions say you actually apply it “after taking a shower” ! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I tried coconut oil but it makes my hair stinkkkkk!!! so i will try some light olive oil since the smell is not as strong.

Coconut oil has worked for me suprisingly. Also, drink more water.

:bummer: i’ve the same problem and it won’t leave me alone

i’ve been using all different sorts of oils since i was a kid and still do. but it doesn’t do any good. i’ve tried VO5 shampoo, pantene, head & shoulders, and now some herb one but meh no use

and the messed up thing is i can’t wash my hair if i don’t have any oil in it because they end up being really dry and mess up but if i have oil in em it’s hard to get the oil out and i end up drying out my hair anyways, like WTF

and it’s funny because when i was visiting Pakistan in 04 i didn’t have that problem :confused:

massage your wet hair with 1/4 tsp olive oil+2 drops of lemon in it after you take shower.. it works wonders not only for the dry scalp but also for shine in hair.

Use the darker olive oil(extra virgin) n first cold pressed..
light olive oil is wont work that well on skin/scalp..

but then what’s the point of taking a shower??? you’ll have to wash them again :confused:

chorni.. it's just 1/4 tsp of olive oil and 2 drops of lemon.. it's not going to make your hair oily and also you have to massage your scalp rather than hair so its just in visible anyway.

when i had hair … i used to put lot of protein gel..

:roman: but i dunno what caused baldness :smiley: so dont try it

Well I blow dry my hair straight a lot since it is ultra curly!! So that maybe it, but I only blow dry it a bit and then I use a straightner.
