Re: dry scalp/dry hair
Head n Shoulders - I used to hate it, but I guess they’ve improved the formula - its positively excellent! :halo:
That natural stuff takes too long to work. I’ve been trying to induce my period with rosemary supplements, and its a bunch of crap.
Re: dry scalp/dry hair
Head and Shoulders totally ruined my hair
But i am glad its working for ya PCG!!
Chorni, i would guess massaging your scalp with any warm oil would be good for it but the key is consistency. I try using oil every so often or an egg+oil+yogurt mix. Also the only shampoo that seems to work for me and not ruin my hair in the process is Dabur’s Anti-flaking shampoo with lemon and henna. Its awesome stuff!
Re: dry scalp/dry hair
Shireen ok will try that too..but today im trying the coconut oil + honey thing...
PCG that stuff neva worked for me...last time i went to the salon the lady made me buy this friggin expensive arse shampoo but it made it worst instead of helping it so i stopped using it...and it was the case with head n shoulders too...it would dry my hair out as well as the scalp so no good
Ira actually i use mixture of oils...my mum mixes the oils and puts it on every week...and i've been doing this since i was a kid..so i dono wut else is left out there for me to try :(
Re: dry scalp/dry hair
Roghan e Badaam = Almond Oil...
Use a sharp comb while taking shower and comb out at skull so hard that the solid layer of dandruff on you skull will break and disintegrate... do it once or twice in a week depending on the dandruff you have.
Once in a week oil your hairs with Bio amla or any oil...
Use Selsun Blue anti-dandruff shampoo...
Always use oil or hair cream on your hairs, just enough to make them shine :-)
Re: dry scalp/dry hair
Yeah it used to dry out my hair too, but so far its worked great.
Dandruff is not always due to dryness. If its dryness, then it will get better if you build in 8 glasses of water in a day.
Otherwise, often its due to soap scum building up on your scalp - like if you're not rinsing the shampoo and conditioner out properly.
When you use conditioner, don't massage it into the scalp - just the extension of the hairs is fine. Conditioner is just hard to wash out since its so slimy - and it will cause dandruff build up in your hair if not washed out well.
The one nuska that I found that works well is to rinse your hair with lemon water - take a jug of water - squeeze some lemon juice into it - like a teaspoon or two or something. As long as you can see the haziness in the water.
And then after you're done shampooing - don't use a conditioner at all - just wash afterwards with the lemon water.
It cuts the soap scum in your hair near your scalp and gets the soap washed out more efficiently. Do this like every other time you wash your hair. When you're not using the lemon water, then go ahead and condition your hair.
I do it now occasionally and it helps a lot.
