Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
Get this olive oil pack from Sally Beauty Supply, or a Coconut deep conditioning treatment (they come in single use pouches)..you apply after shampooing. Wear a shower cap, sit in shower for 5 minutes. Let the conditioners work in your hair and scalp. Wash off. Do at least 2 times a week. This really helped my hair.
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
Get it trimmed so you get rid of teh split ends and the dry/rough ends. Use a good shampoo and deep conditioner. Try leave in conditioners. Go to the salon and get deep conditioning done. Put oil in it once a week. ![]()
Thts wht I did when I completely fried my hair.
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!

I will be getting the deep conditing treatment done from the salon next week but even that treatment wont last long I just wondered if there were any good oil or conditioners I could use.. I hate my hair ![]()
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
I think it has something to do with your diet. I used to have super silky super shiny hair, and i never cared for them,
then i got sick for a whole year and since then i have tried everything on earth to get rid of these thread like hair. Nothing works for me :((
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
yes right diet counts a lot. u must see.
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
No you don’t have to be a member. I think professionals who are members get a discount, but regular folks like us can buy there too.
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
Try using almond oil. Apply a generous amount and leave for a minimum of 12 hours.
Also, avoid using shampoo that contains high levels of ammonium lauryl sulfate, as this will dry your hair out and leave them looking crusty.
I personally love the new Dove 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner, but if you can’t get a hold of this look for a shampoo that is mild.
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
I mix olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil in equal protions PLUS 7-8drops of vitmin E oil .slightly heat this mixture giv ur scalp a GOOD massage for few min, comb them nicely for atleast 2minutes .. leave this on for atleast 3 hours or leave it overnight (this is what i do)
hope it helps ![]()

Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
use mayonnaise once a week. put in hair. cover with saran wrap and wash after 30 mins. u need a good calming/smoothing balm/serum. don’t shampoo too often.
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
Apply oil to your hair to condition it.
Avoid styling products like the blow dryer and straightening/curling rod as they can fry your ends.
Dry, brittle hair can even be a symptom of some nutritional deficiency, so take a multivitamin.

GOOD ADVICE REDVELVET
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
Try ‘It’s a 10’ line. I’ve used many salon products, found this one to be the best. You can start with shampoo, conditioner and the leave in spray.

Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
I never heard of that Sajju! Thanks for sharing.
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
I use the “It’s a 10” leave-in product. Squirt a little bit on your palm..and run it through damp hair it makes it more manageable.
Re: Dry Rough Damaged Hair!
Niks, I am surprised not many have heard of it, prolly because it’s only sold in select salons. I was introduced to the line a couple years ago by my stylist and havn’t really used another brand since then.
RV, I usually just spray it directly to the hair. You are right about hair being more managable though. Times when I forget to use it, my hair ends up being on the dry side.

How’s the smell?
