Have tried everything. They r toooo dry and flaky. And they hurt. What to apply.

Use a Lip Scrub and then use a good Lip balm that lasts through the night. I use the lush Lip scrubs and Jack black Lip balm.

first off ... make sure you are hydrating well.
if your general hydration is not the issue then after gentle scrubbing to get off the excess dead skin apply a thick coat of plain old petroleum jelly/Vaseline, both at nite and during the day.

Due to running a cold/flu my kid somehow made her upper lip so dry by wiping it with kleenax then licking it....God knows what else

So I got her a nivea chapstick and her dry chapped lips 80% got better within 2 days Alhamdulilah.

What ehl said...good hydration! And I also really like Aquaphor...that's what I use on dry winter chapped lips for myself and my boys...it works really well around their noses too when they get chapped because of the sniffles

I use Chapstick and exfoliate my lips when they get rough and dry.

make ur own scrub, Shop brought ones are usually harsh and just aggravate the problem.

Ive made one by using a tsp of ALMOND OIL and some BROWN SUGAR. Mix it to a thick scrub like consistency and use. You can keep this for up to 2 weeks so it is ideal as well as natural.

Then on occasion use a damp toothbrush to exfoliate and then use lip balm as and when required.

And use proper lipsticks, not cheap crap. Put in more money and buy moisture rich colors. I don't have problems, never had to use scrubs for dry skin either.

Hydrate well through the day. 8 glasses a day, and plenty of fruits is what makes the difference in skin, hair, nails, etc.

i use 3 drops of 100% Argan oil on my face as moisturizer and use the left over on my hands and apply it on my chapped lips (lips are softer and more pink)

Try to use natural lip balm that you can buy in an organic or natural shop or you can use coconut oil or olive oil and put it on your lips for about few minutes the wash it off. These natural ingredients will soothe and hydrate your lip. It will also help to repair the skin because it has Vitamin E.

Ok tried the vaseline. Maybe because it's cold here, it's fairly thick and solid.

I liked aquaphor A LOT.

It is now my new must have.

I still prefer the neutrogena to use under lipstick, because the aquaphor makes the lips too glossy.
