Anyone else suffer from dry, irritated eyes after using eye-pencils in the rim of u’re eyes? A friend called to complain about dry/ itchy eyes and she used Bourjois pencils to line the rim of her eyes.
I know and personally use Refresh artificial tears, suggested the same to her too.

nopes. i use mac technakohl though, it's very soft.
i wouldn't use artificial tears on a regular basis - google the side effects!
I don't use them on a regular basis.. I wear contacts and my eyes feel dry often. That's the only time..

^same here. my eyes get very dry when i wear contacts which is just about everyday. sometimes when i have my contacts in all day, my eyes get so dry that my contacts get stuck to my eyes and don't come out. it's very scary..it comes out after like 30 mins of pulling. i've had a very bad incident with my clear contacts getting stuck to my eyes for a long time..after that day i never wore clear contacts again.

that's the problem. the drops etc are just a temporary measure and the real problem is being ignored.
my eyes got so dry because of contact lenses that my corneas got scratched. optician finally told me that some people just can't wear lenses (this usually develops over time) and if you're getting dry eyes you should start reducing the wear. basically they said that a lot of people's eyes will eventually start rejecting contact lenses; it can be 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years.
i lasted 7 years before i started developing the really dry eyes.
i only wear them for special occasions now.
drops/artificial tears can steadily make the problem worse.

^same here. i usually don't wear my contacts more than 3 times a week now. and unfortunately my eye sight hasn't stopped getting worse so i can't even get laser eye surgery yet.

i need super clear/in focus vision for the next few years at least. so i can't risk laser surgery and the side effects.

^i am a little worried about the risk of laser eye surgery myself. i wish contacts weren't such a pain, i would just wear them for the rest of my life but they cause too many problems. why do you need super clear vision just for the next few years?

^for the work i'm currently doing. but i'm not going to make a whole career from it so i think i could live with the side effects later.

as far as i know everyone has to deal with poor night vision and some degree of spherical aberration. when i do close up work without my glasses, my vision is really good. i wouldn't want that compromised for now.

Yeah I keep eyedrops with me wherever I go; I had to go see my eye doctor cause my eyes kept getting red. He gave me steroid solution and some more eyedrops but he said I should stick to glasses for a while
I don't like being a 4 eyes :(
but my eye pencil definitely aggregates my eyes so i'm only wearing eyeliner on my top lid until I go see him again
