dry eyelids

hey there
so umm its been almost 4 days now and my eyelids (skin on the eyes) are getting flaky and dry and red and itchy!!!

the only new thing i did was applying vitamin E 2 3 times a day on my eyes!

can that be the reason? is it some kinda reaction?? n tell me some good homeremedy…i tried putting on vaseline but it didnot help much :frowning:

I would think that Vitamin E Oil would help in preventing or treating that but not causing it. Also have you been using new makeup or maybe something that's expired? Try using very thick lotion. If it doesn't heal within a week or so then i would recommend going and seeing a doctor.

can it be eczema??:S my mom just diagnosed that she is suffering from eczema!!! UWAIN :frowning:

and umm i dont use any makeup :stuck_out_tongue: only on eids and a few functions lol and these days i am off so except lotions i dont put anything on face!! hmm didnot change anything either :S what could it be then:S hmmm:hmmm:

Re: dry eyelids

Oh wow yeh I was going to ask you that but then I was like well that's something people find out about a little earlier on. I'm pretty sure it's eyelid eczema then.

Re: dry eyelids

Ok so I did a little research and found that many people that suffered from eczema found “emu oil” to be very helpful. I don’t know about it being available in Pakistan but look at this link.

Re: dry eyelids

OMG it cant be eczema UWAIN i heard it never goes away???? OMG i am in panic now

It can even be due to dietary changes..Vitamin E would help it.. apply a good eye-cream at night or almond oil.

Re: dry eyelids

hmm at the moment i am sticking with vitamin E only! and at night and during the day too
i hope that helps :)

and i hope its nOT eczema.......

Re: dry eyelids
