I read about dry skin brushing when I had gained weight * after * my second child. ( yes thats right AFTER, pm me for details. No , jk , dont
)
Anyway, after I have recently lost quite a bit of weight, I was worried about my skin, and I started reading up about this old practise.
I was a skeptic, but I started anyway. But NOW,about 6-7 months in, I love it.
I only stuck with it because it made me feel good initially. Its reccomended to brush in the mornings, and that would wake me right up.
My skin feels great. I was worried about my skin losing some elasticity after going through two pregnancies and weight loss, but as far as I can tell, that hasnt happened too much.
It is supposed to tighten your skin, improve circulation, is GREAT for your lymphatic system, since it gets your lymph to flow, and detoxifies your body.
Also, it helps in digestion, and removal of dead cells and cellulite removal.
I realllly dont know if the good results are due to the brushing or if its all in my head 'cause I have been brain-washed by all the info,heh, but its worth a try.
Always use a natural bristle brush ( I got mine from WalMart). Shower afterwards so you can wash the dead skin off. Brush from the soles of your feet to your neckline in long gentle strokes.
And NEVER brush when your skin is wet, as that can cause microscopic tears in your skin.
Thought Iād share this with the ladies on here ![]()
