What's so surprising about this? Most "high class" Punjabis are fond of drinking. Pilots get paid in USD for a reason
welcome to the forum. first of all it's not right to single out Punjabis...i know Muhaajirs who drink...anyone can drink for that matter...it's NOT just the very rich who drink...very poor also drink [cheap and country-made liquor] and often die in from the tainted liquor in scores.
what you can safely say is that those who do NOT practice deen in their lives are the ones who are prone to drinking.

I dont know about PIA's rules, but I know which airline I'd be hesitant to fly henceforth.

agree...and i hope those who are more patriotic should pay attention to this news. 356 people were on board the aircraft which he was ready to fly if he wasn't caught by the British authorities...breath of alcohol from his mouth and wobbly on his feet gave away the secrets.
i was planing to fly Delhi-Karachi-Delhi by PIA in December but now i'll have to cancel my trip as no other airline serves this route. :(
