So I’m down in NYC because mum is in town. Trying to do my thing, catching up etc. We headed to Pakistani restaurant a bit later at night (12ish) to grab some quick aloo chat or something and in walks in 3 pakistani men (in their 30s or 40s) who are piss drunk.
Besides managing to wreck the atmosphere consisting normal people looking to get their kebab on, they also embarrassed the restaurant owner, who we know, by first verbally abusing the waitress and then almost assaulting the owner. Having seen this spectacle, what would you do:
A. Phsyically toss those ******s (literally) out of the place.
B. Throwing a few chairs at the slags.
C. Calling the police.
D. Nothing.
On a separate note when has it become acceptable for Pakistanis to be walking around drunk? I don’t like this one bit.
I used to think there is absolutely no alcohol in pakistan until about 2 yrs ago one of my cousins told me her friend’s brother was arrested for drunk driving …
ppl working there and owner should fix this. Police always favor business owners.
Owner has right to
1-ask them out
2-if they refuse then forcefully escort them out. (no hitting)
3-if they try to hit then thier a$$ belong to owner/worker.
little some thing I used very often back in the days.
Depending on how bad the assault was (you said they "almost" assaulted), I'd call the police if needed - i.e. in a situation where the owner or staff aren't able to do so themselves. Otherwise, rowdy drunk customers are fairly common in the restaurant business esp. those that are open late, and for the most part, the staff knows how to deal with them.
Re: drunk Pakis... seen quite a few - coincidentally, a couple of times in NYC, but you'd find them everywhere. I suppose some would argue that drinking is your prerogative, but if you can't hold your liquor, then you need to realize that on your own.
until 1970’s bars/club were all around Pakistan, it was banned by Bhutto.
but it’s readily available everywhere, their are few companies who also made beer/scotch/whiskey in Murree, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Quetta & Multan. I will say 10 out of 1 drinks in Pak !
What did you expect? This is New York City and after 11.00pm it is full of drunk bar and club goers... And the restaurants are still open because these type of clients provide a lot of business for them. Me and my friends still get drunk and go to these type of places in New York City for some desi food before going back to bars/clubs for more drinking.

I wouldn't be boasting about that...ladies don't dig that kind of thing.
When I said almost assaulted, I meant that the owner was pushed back. Imagine a short, stocky punjabi fellow being pushed back by 1 of the 3 idiots. I mean I have never heard the owner yell at anyone. His employees absolutely love him.
The Waitress was called a female dog (you know the word) because their food was not coming out in a timely fashion. She is Nepali so I leave the more graphic insults out. Poor lady was in tears.
This was not some hole in the wall in curry lane or some random takeaway. It was a proper restaurant with half the men suited up and the average age of the patrons hovering around in the 50s.
Listen, my gripe isn't whether they were drinking or not but rather the fact that they over drank and were patently offensive, where they ruined the dining experience for all. That is not our Pakistani culture. Drink or don't drink, just don't get blitzed and come to a family restaurant/gathering point.
The night so did not end well for them :D
Also the word in my post that was ***** was not something bad just people doing haram stuff.

Charming.
Hopefully you and your friends are going to places where drunkards are expected and not places where the post-Broadway/Family crowd is dining.
