The floor of my bathroom gets really wet when I do Wuzu (abulution) or take shower, which angers my mom. When I go to other people houses I see their bathroom floors dry and clean. Some even have carpeted bathrooms; and if I were to use those bathrooms, those carpets will get spoiled. So my friends I need your suggestion as to what I should do to prevent bathroom floor from getting wet. Thanks.
Bathrooms in Pakistan were good, no matter how much water you drain, it goes down through the hole, but here in US or where I live (New Jersey) bathrooms are not built in that manner.
Keep paper towels handy so when u wash ur feet, arms u can wipe off excess water with a paper towel. Just don't splash too much water while performing ablution. You should be fine.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I guess I will put some good bathroom mats that would absord water. Anyways, I just bought a squeegee type wiper that has sponge on one side and rubber blade on the other side; and it's been helpful. Again thanks for your replies.
Don't put bathroom mats if you think it will absorb water, because they are gonna stink after sometime, and your bathroom will smell really bad, unless you are planning to sprinkle talcum powder everytime it gets wet and after sometime vaccum cleaning the mats.
One of my cousins splashes water hell alot on the bathroom floor even while washing her face or hands, and not to mention after shower, the bathroom looks like a pond. However, now her mom keeps these squeege wipers handy in the bathroom and that helps alot, BUT, just another additional hr. to her shower time.
How often do you clean bathrooms?
How do you do it? I always make a mess….When I use too much water I spend hours mopping. There is gotta be an easier way.
I can hire a cleaning lady but I find bathrooms to be kind of personal area to be cleaned by someone else….and in Pakistan I had no self-conscience…everything was done and came on a silver platter…Pakistanies are spoiled I tell ya!

If I had a choice to pick only one area of the house to be cleaned by someone else it would be the bathroom. As much as I hate a dirty bathroom I also hate to clean it! If you wipe up the floors after every shower and clean the sink, commode, tub/shower every weekend that should keep the place spick and span.
For damp/wet floors just wipe it with a couple of paper towels every time. Mops sound messy and smelly.
