LC has been using this much before I put my trust on Dropbox. I put all my client folders there. My pictures taken from my phone automatically get uploaded to DB, and tons of other stuff that I always need access to all go to DB.
I use different laptops depending on what I’d need for the day and I never have to worry about if my needed docs are with me when I leave home. They are always in sync. The sync between your computer and the cloud is encrypted, its not available (so no www access till I login to my account) to anyone else. I do have some files that I still want to be inaccessible even if somebody had my Dropbox username and password. For that I use TrueCrypt (let me know if you’re interested in that and I’ll explain further).
Another great feature of Dropbox is that you can share folders with other DB users. For instance I’ll specifically share a folder with you, you would accept and then whatever you put in that folder would automatically sync with my computer and vice versa. I have family around the globe that I share pictures and other documents with and i don’t have to use an open ftp/www folder.
