Re: Drone strike in Hangu (KPK)
According to Dunya news, the Hamidullah who was killed in this drone strike was the link between Pakistan and TTP. The US has made its intentions pretty clear.
Another thing I have observed in recent days is that Afghan intelligence announces the people killed before us, therefore we cant negate any information some TTP groups (like Fazlullah's group) are providing information to the Americans/Afghans for these drone strikes.

Re: Drone strike in Hangu (KPK)
Parvaiz Rashid is saying that Imran Khan wants to harm Pakistan's relations with other countries (read US). He took more time defending Nawaz Sharif than condemning drone strike in Hangu.
Peshwar after Hangu?
the statements of NS and Ch Nisar also dont match up - talk about confused government.

I know dealing with internal/external audiences. People can read the situation though, the Sharif's are still living in the 90's.
This confusion is not good for the country as the rulers will not go for long term planning and still rule it on adhoc basis.

i don't think Shareef Biraadaraan or anyone else can do anything...i knew and wrote here from day one after the elections that people have voted for the change, they believed that miracle will happen once the new government takes charge, they also thought that the previous government was corrupt and incapable of doing any thing for Pakistan and it's people...the fact was, is and will remain the same...i.e....nothing will change as long as Pakistan is doing poorly economically, as long as they need IMF, WB and the US for loans and aid, as long as a true, honest, bold and patriotic leader is NOT found...who can tackle the situation headon...vo jiske dil meN qaum kaa dard ho!

At some stage the leaders will have to think hard, lets give the government a benefit of doubt that they had to go to international lenders. But what steps are they taking internally in Balochistan, FATA, terrorism, economy, energy and taxation etc?
Re: Drone strike in Hangu (KPK)
Is this a serious statement? :chai:
Govt sincere in condemnation of drone attacks, says PM - DAWN.COM
Re: Drone strike in Hangu (KPK)
those leaders are NOT affected by any of the problems in your list above so they are least bothered by them…i’m still waiting for a messiah to appear Pakistan to take control of the run-away situation…i pray for it! aameen

Re: Drone strike in Hangu (KPK)
Hangu strike: Why Imran Khan is right?
This drone strike has made bonkers, at least in public consciousness, of whatever assurances Nawaz team received in Washington during meetings with Obama or whatever Sartaj Aziz had understood. Imran Khan may have overreacted on the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud, but now at this moment he is right; implications of “Hangu Drone Strike” for KPK and Pakistan run much wider and deeper. It is quite possible that like 2008, this drone strike in Hangu was an odd exception, a dire tactical need in Atlanta or Langley. But elements aligned with Afghan Taliban or TTP may be hiding in different cities across Pakistan and if this trend is not questioned, challenged and check mated at this stage it has the potential of throwing asunder the whole societal fabric, the very architecture that underlies the edifice of Pakistani politics. And it won’t even serve the wider, long-term interests of United States in this region.
