What if there was a terrorist and a dumb one at that and his family lived with him,
and a drone blew his 3-year old daughter up to smithereens along with him and the rest of his family.
What would it be from the point of view of the ‘terrorist’s daughter’ ?
Would it be [the obscenely-termed] collateral damage or cold-blooded wanton murder of a child ?
Or would you say, as [honourable-NOT] Ms. Albright said about the half million dead Iraqi children because of US sanctions, “the price is worth it !”.
The terrorists’ sins are acknowledged, but the mahaan imperial power’s heinous and multi-fold crimes are not.
They are somehow glorified under the cover of ‘war on terror’.
They are brushed aside by intellectual bankrupts as “What do you expect ? This is war and sh*t happens in war”. Go figure.

Re: “Pinning down Madeleine Albright; Brooches at DAM give insight to her political moods,” April 15 Arts & Culture story.
So, Madeleine Albright wore a bluebird pin with a bluebird flying downward in sorrow after a plane carrying civilians was shot down by Cubans in 1996. That’s so sensitive and thoughtful of her. Which pin did she wear to mourn the half-million children who died in Iraq as a direct result of U.S.-imposed sanctions during her tenure as secretary of state?
On “60 Minutes,” in May 1996, when Lesley Stahl interviewed Albright, Stahl stated with reference to the sanctions in Iraq: “We have heard that a half-million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?” Albright replied: “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price — we think the price is worth it.” Does she have a pin for each of those children?
