do you think Obama will open the letter and comply? i'm really counting on it... :(
Probably not, but Obama may stop and think when he sees one of the largest parties in pakistan who is anti-talib from even before 9/11 is opposing it.

Re: Drone Attacks Continuing
Yeah, NO CHANCE. No chance that the drone attacks will end because the Pakistani gov't has already demonstrated a number of times that they can't fight these guys. They don't have the know-how, they don't have the military will, and up until very recently, they didn't have the backing of the Pakistani people either. If American soldiers fighting in Afghanistan are going to continue to be in danger, then the drone attacks will continue.
In most countries, you stick up for your own. In Pakistan, that concept was never ingrained into the people of Pakistan. So I understand why this is a difficult concept for you.
Re: Drone Attacks Continuing
who is “you”? ![]()
Drone attacks should stop because they only serve to give rise to extremism. The method has been proven faulty and comes with way too many casualties. i agree with the rest and Pakistani Armed Forces and Intelligence does have to take TTP out completely and severe their supply lines/finances/smuggling routes for weapons and logistics, etc…
Re: Drone Attacks Continuing
Drone attacks are counter productive. Contrary to the mythology around American technical preceision, the fact is more civilians die in these attacks than anyone else. I'd suggest that this justifies agitation against the central government, as it is not only failing to protect it's own citizenry, it is complicit in the MURDER of it's own civilians by foriegn hands.
It's sad to see Karzai, a planted oligarch, raising a fuss over these very same attacks on Afghan soil, while Pakistan seems to be coordinating them...which is, by the way, an act of treason on the part of the Army.
Not true at all. The talib/jihadi mindset is born from the concept of pan-islamisim which disregards concepts like state lines, nationality and seeks to topple all governments deemed kafir (all of them are kafir besides the holy taliban one) through sheer terror and extreme brutality.
I may want a secular pakistan, but I know that will never happen and that's fine by me as long as talib "sharia" is not forced down my throat by threat of beheading or suciding.
chalo that puts thing in perspective.
regardless of who ‘you’ is , i find this post extremely rich since you are the one always advocating military solution to any scenario and still have the audacity to look down at pakistanis. ![]()

Altaf bhai the jihadi mollah lover has asked the amreekan preziiidaaant to halt drone attacks! no more debating! End of story.
yes you would like that, cuz ur safe far far away from there. :)
how about the number of innocent lives lost? or have you forgotten the report that rated the success at 8% while the other 92%+ were civilian casualties...
elimination of extremists is and should be top priority, but it should not come at the cost of 10:1 ratio of civilians. that's just plain stupid and akin to free recruitment of more extremists.
those numbers are total nonsesne
stop making them up from your ass
Re: Drone Attacks Continuing
^ what are you talking about? 700 civilians and 14 al qaeda operatives is the figure Petraeus gave.
Re: Drone Attacks Continuing
^^ not a figure given by Preteaus but by one of his advisors who wants to send in ground troops into this area
as for the civilians....that also includes their al qaeda's Pakistani sponsors and taliban
i will try to find an accurate list

Until you do provide this more accurate list these are the best numbers to go by. They come from someone who is a part of the US military establishment, on the record, before a congressional hearing. I fail to see how you can baselessly question the accuracy.
Imran is looking for publicity for himself and his 5 internet based members of PTI. Altaf doesn't need any such thing.
yea yea and imran rates much better on sincereity radar than altaf ever could. how you claim to care for pakistan and go for a ridiculous caricature of politician like altaf is beyond me.
Re: Drone Attacks Continuing
And yeah chachu nawaz is what we should all be worshiping to be real pakis. Ganju, zarda, taliban khan are not viable alternatives.
Re: Drone Attacks Continuing
No one needs to be worshipped at all. All persons of political affiliation, who have, want to, or are holding public offices, or are part of a political party are fair game to scrutiny and criticism. i think we all sometimes go overboard with the criticism and exaggerate.

nope dont go for nawaz or whatever either but why what means do you ignore racism promoted by altaf?
