The taste varies depending on what you drink. I'm sure if you tried beer, you wont like it cause its bitter, and you have to develop a taste for it. On the other hand if you had a mixed drink, its generally sweet and you will like it ;)

Start with Cider- it is almost drinkable. Or try sweet cocktails like a screwdriver (vodka & orange).

And don't worry about Qiyamat- you can worry about that when you become religious later in your life ;)

:k: Why do you want to try it? In my (humble) opinion, it’s a great test of will power, strength and faith if you can turn away (gladly) from alcohol even if you find yourself in an environment where people around you are drinking.

If you want a rush, then try something else … go skiing or skydiving. More importantly, be independent and have a mind of your own. Don’t do things just cause everyone else is doing it … if that’s the case.

Also, I don’t think you need to miss out socially. All it means is that you can drink a lovely orange juice or one of those other tasty, non-alcoholic drinks instead.

Well, that’s when your personality comes into play. Plenty of people don’t drink and can remain actively social and have plenty of friends. Popularity is sooooo over-rated.

2) Movie fans

Thats just about the only ice breakers a sober me has......a drunk me, well it could'nt do any worse.
