Could I get some input from some experienced overseas shoppers?
What do you find is generally the most economical number of dresses to buy at one time shipping wise? I know that the first kilo of weight is the most expensive and additional kilos are substantially less, but I don’t have a good idea of how that translates into number of dresses. If I’m not buying heavy dresses, what does the average dress weigh? And what about children’s casual dresses? I have 3 daughters and there is very little casual wear locally and what there is isn’t very nice. I’d like to get some nice casual things for my daughters (like a Gul Amhed children’s) stitched in fashionable styles. I’d like to be able to get some value out of my shipping dollars.
Or maybe a list of styles of suits and average weights? Like lawn, chiffon, silk, light embroidery, medium embroidery, light fancy work…

Normally one kg accomodates 2 lawn dresses (simply printed) where as one embroidered lawn suits weighs aorund 0.75kg.
DHL discounted box comes in 5 kg, 10 kg and then 25 kg and they are very economical.
Fedex offers only 10kg and 25kg box same is the case with TCS.

Sorry, I meant to say shipped to the USA.
5kg = ~ 10 lawn dresses or maybe 6 - 7 mixed lightweight dresses?
10kg = ~ 20 lawn dresses or 13 - 14 mixed lightweight dresses?
How much is avg. shipping for those weights? I am with four of us, it might make sense to make one big order. I'm still in the process of trying out vendors and the shipping for one dress at a time is certainly prohibitive.

Yes, you would want to avoid shipping only one dress. For example, to ship one suit to Doha is costing about 85QR. To ship 2, is about 100QR, etc. You would want to place a large order, so the shipping fee is reduced. But, you may need to pay a customs fee on your order! Confirm in advance with a reliable seller about it.
