Lenghas are usually re-worn at a close relative's wedding...more so if it's not very heavy--as long as you keep the jewelery low key and do NOT wear the duputta on the head u can get away with it. Why not get an anarkali or churidar if u'd like to be able to wear it a few times? Many brides wear those.
It's easy to get a cheaper lengha (for less than 1K) in Pakistan, but if going to pak is not an option, take a look at the Bazaar Forum. lots of designers who may be able to help you and accomodate ur budget
