Lady, do you realize how hypocritical that is? Putting aside personal experiences or of those I know, would you deny that Arabs think of desis as an inferior, servile race? Unfortunately for the underprivileged, feeding a family takes precedence over self-respect, livelihood over dignity, understandable. But what I find surprising are the ones who are still in denial, the ones who are in a one-sided love affair with the Arabs, the ones who blur the line between Islam and Arabic culture.

The internet is chock-full of videos like these:

I can’t say what almost 600 million arabs view pakistanis like ; but neither can you or anyone else so i don’t think judging is right. There are good and bad from every country. I try my best not to blur the lines between arabs and islam and culture so that isn’t an issue for me. It is just like saying all muslims are terrorists.

I dont know the exact islamic ruling on this matter. But i know only one thing that is one (men & women) should dress modestly in front of others (mehram or na-mehram). Only husband and wife should roam around in whatever they want in front of each other when they are by themselves. Of course everyone has a different meaning of “dress up modestly” if they come to explain it in detail therefore it comes down to personal preference. For example some would not wear jeans at home but only outside while some are totally ok with it.
