Dreams

Dreams hold an importance in Islam right? I know that Hazrat Yousuf (AS) was the great interpretor of dreams.
SO what does Islam say about dreams? I read in a book once that making up false dreams is a gunnah. But I guess that is just like ke lying is a gunnah.
Also, what interpretations can be trusted? There are so many books out there that they “Saccha Yousufi Khwaabnaama”…

Also, what abt dreams in which you see people who are already dead. I have heard tha if a person who’s already dead, gives you something in the dream that is a really good thing but if you give a dead person something that is a bad omen.

Islamically correct or no?
