dreams

Assalaamoalaikum every1, i know this may sound stupid but anyways i’ve been very confused and curious.

wut does it mean when u have a dream about someone who’s dead? and someone who’s very dear and close to u?

i mean not that i think u ppl r psychoz and can tell me what the dream meant..but im juz curious about the whole thing…

and after i woke up from the dream i very veryyyyy scared and sad…

sigh it’s been bothering me for weeks now :frowning: :crying:

:wsalam:

It’s not recommended to share dreams in public but to someone knowledgable who can correctly interpret the dreams… however, it is a very common interpretation by all those learned people whom I know for interpreting dreams that seeing someone dying or dead in dreams means that the person’s life is getting “Barakaah”; i.e, good life .. wallah-o-alam!

sorry bhai...i wuz kinda confused n worried...n i din't kno who to talk to...but jazakallah for the info :)

i am going to agree with AQ on this aswell, and in addition to this i have also heard that your particular dream might mean that the person you had the dream about could have a long life. And <I_I_II knows best.

if you are still cofused you might wanna approach a aalim who can help you out

Dreams are nothing but an ALTERNATED state of consciousness during sleeping. Actually our mind always remain Busy in thinking something. It dose not happens that our mind STOPS thinking something during our life (Except for deep faint). This process of THINKING contineus even during the state of sleeping. In human sleeping stage, two different and distinct stages have been identified by the scientists. First stage is NREM (Non-Rapid Eye Movement) and the second stage is REM (Rapid Eye Movement).

It is quite clear from the names of these two stages that during sleeping, the sleeping person s eyes either rapidly move which is observable as rapid movement of sleeping person eye plucks. The second stage is normal when sleeping persons eyes do not rapidly move.

If you awake a sleeping person when his eyes are appeared to be rapidly moving, he always shall report that he was just in a dream.

Dreams are an alternated state of consciousness. During the dream, the dreaming person CANNOT decide that if he is in dream or in reality. It is only after awakening, that he comes to know that it was only a dream. It means that during the dream he did not know that he was in dream.

Dreams are only one of your mind processes that occur during your sleeping stage. All the input of your dreams come from your own previous personal experiences i.e from your awakening experiences as well as from your previous dreams and from your own imaginations etc.

However dreams are ALTERED form of your previous experiences. These alterations can be opposite to your wishes or it can be in agreement of your wishes.

Interpretation of dreams are only old stories and they do not have any importance in this information age. Those who are talking of interpretation of dreams are living in some ancient period and they are simply unable to meet the real challanges of this information age.

And you Mr. or Ms. Chorni seem to be having less courage. Why to afraid of dreams? They are only a mind process that occur in every healthy human mind. And note this fact that this mind process is only the reflection of your wishes or fears. IT HAS NO MEANINGS.

ive just found out these ahadith.. hope it help u

Abu Qabada reported Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him) (The Holy Prophet Muhammed) as saying: "The good visions are from Allah and the evil dreams are from Satan. If one sees a dream which one does not like, one should spit on one’s left side and seek the refuge of Allah from Satan; it will not do any harm, and one should not disclose it to anyone, and if one sees a good vision one should feel pleased but should not disclose it to anyone but whom one loves."

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him) (The Holy Prophet Muhammed) as saying: "When the time draws near (when the Resurrection is near) a believer’s dream can hardly be false. And the truest vision will be of one who is himself the most truthful in speech, for the vision of a Muslim is the forty-fifth part of Prophecy, and dreams are of three types: One, a good dream which is a sort of good tidings from Allah; the evil dream which causes pain and is from Satan; and the third one is a suggestion of one’s own mind; so if any one of you sees a dream which he does not like he should stand up and offer prayer and he should not relate it to people…."
