hi guys

i am just wondering that do dreams have any meanings. islamically is it allowed to find out the meanings of dreams.
i am having these scary dreams since i can remember. in all of my dreams i am drowning, mainly with family, or about to drown.

all dreams are about a river close to my old house and my dreams change as our family situation changes. but the sitution and location is same. i can recall past 8 years having the same dream. i get these dreams monthly or sometimes weekly.

i am so scard now. i dont know if there is any message in these dreams.

i have had true dreams as well in the past. for example, i saw my aunty dead in dream and she died few days later, even though she wasnt very sick.

hmmm waisey tau paani dekhna in a dream is good thing but in ur situatioin i dont knOw wut would it mean but i would recOmmend u tO give sada’qa more oftenly of urs and ur family

GREAT idea for a thread. i'm really interested in dream analysis myself. i've had repetitive dreams about a dirty lake in my backyard of my childhood home with wild animals in it. it was very scary. i googled it and got some interesting meanings. try doing the same.

marwah i just wanted to say that i heard from many people along with qari’s that we shudnt reveal our dreams to anybody even if it was a good or a bad dream

so guyss b careful coz sometimes aisey bhi hota hai k u discuss ur dream in general to anybody aur phir sunn.nay wala jo bhi kahta hai chances are that can come true.

I was about to write that... keep your bad dreams to your self and reveal them only to friends and family members who are knowledgeable enough and can understand you and you trust.

funeela there is some fear got stuck to you mind. If you go through a major change in you life that dream will go away.
Major change like change city/grow up/get married etc

I always see things from future, I don't call them true dreams but a glimpse in future.
Those are different then what you are seeing.

same is the case with me..and when i try to analyse my dreams,i usually get true meanings,which do come true..you can check this site for dream analysis,which i find really accurate when it comes to dream analysis..

even I´ve heard that its not good 2 share ya dreams to ppl u dont know.
its not good,.. it can affect the dream negative.

i have come to know from various sources as fellow guppians already said that u shouldnt share ur bad dreams according to islam bad dreams can have two meanings :

  1. Satan is making it happen and u should say astaghfar and read 2 nafals as soon as u get the dreams

  2. could be a signal keep the dream to urself and give sadqa

as mentioned above water is said to be a good sign.....maybe u r preoccupied by ur family problems thts why u r getting em
