No way! You’re missing out on the art of dreaming! 
Lucid dreaming is when you’re aware that you’re dreaming and can manipulate your dream to experience whatever the hell you want. Its like your own alternate reality, no rules apply! I can also continue my dreams sometime even when I’m not lucid dreaming. Like I’ll be dreaming and I get woken up or whatever and then when I get back to bed, I just carry on where I left.
Lucky for you, you can ‘learn’ to lucid dream!
