Dream question.

I have been reading Ibn Sirins book on dream interpretation but i am struggling with a recent dream, about just seeing a silver cupboard which is mine and other people having a wooden cupboard. Any ideas?

Re: Dream question.

Muhammad Bin Sirin (Rehamullah) is a great Imam of interpretation of dreams. The greatest part of the book is that all explanations are from hadeeth or sayings of Sahabah.
Now, I have used the book a lot. The best I found was that you have to make sure the following:
1. Make sure you are looking up a dream that is from Allah SWT as blessing and not from your own memories or desires (daily things you talk about in life) and also not from Sheytan. If you made dua about something and you slept in a condition of obedience to Allah SWT (meaning you prayed your duas and slept accodring to Sunnah ) then you should look up the dream as it will have guidance for you. Otherwise, leave it as it can be from Sheytan and also just from your memories.

2.Since the book follows key words, it is almost imperitive that your dream be clear for you as to which significant thing sticks out most. Was it the color of an item or the thing itself or the event or circumstances that you saw.

Tell me more about your issue and I can guide you. Also don't be too obsessed about the dream. If Allah SWT wants InshAllah He wil make you understand. There is a dua..I am forgetting the arabic, but you can ask in your own words that Allah grant me the kher from this dream and save me from the evil in it.
