Well I have used way way better machines than ur dream machines :)

Machine with 128 bit 72 processors, 384 GB memory, 220 TB data storage (all fiber).

On a serious note ur dream machine makes a lot of noise ... u cannot use it as a workstation in ur house :)

yeah sure u hav ... but i think .. if im not wrong 72 processors computer is mostly used in banks ... 4 mutliple transcation nah blah blah .. not 4 personal use rite ...

letme know what do u do on this power hungry beast ... i love 2 know ...

but that PRIMEPOWER 2500 Server don't hav good graphics card !!!

yeah servers n rendering node do make lots of sound … i got rendering nodes … but i use them when im not dere … or put them in a sepcial room …

but VFX workstation r not that noisy … im using one rite now …

These servers are used for ERP & MX Intermail purpose. The company I used them in (previous job) has more than 5 million customers around Europe and central databases run in clustered environment. These machines are used in mission critical environment & mostly used for Enterprise solutions. Not every company needs them.

I am technical specialist for Sun Microsystem High End servers, both of HW & Sun OS.

The current company I am working has only E10K servers as biggest servers.

yeah dat wat i want 2 know ... bcz i hav seen these servers in banks n TV channels ... n they provide service 2 millions of customers ... mean in some way im also using it .. ;) ...
