I have heard many people talk about drawing figures in Islam, and basically there view on this is thatit should not be done. When I asked them why, they simply answered me that it says in the Quran. As this has happened fairly recently, I have not had time to see if it is in the Quran or not. So I questioned the person further. Ia sked them why figures should not be drawn. He told me that Alaah will tell you to put a spirit in the figure you have drawn. As I was not sure about the matter, I have stopped drawing things which would include drawing faces or bodies. But can someone please guide me as I am a bit lost?!!?
I've also heard that drawing figures are haraam in Islam..and the spirit bit is true..it does say in the Qur'an. But what about if you have to draw any form of figures for your study?..eg.projects etc????
I mean, like wouldn't you have to since you may loose marks or it is a 'have to'?
excuse my ignorance folks, but why would a merciful and benevolent creator, be so relentless as to quell talents bestowed by him in the first place.
Its like giving a gift to a child for his/her birthday and telling them not to open it... ever, or else they would be severly punished.
God's supreme authority will NEVER be threatened by mere "human creativity", no matter how life-like it may be created.
