Re: drapery fabrics
try out different chiffons...they drape amazingly well!!
Re: drapery fabrics
oh hey. i thought it was gonna be next year.
how come you decided to do it at home now? i think it's nice though, i just want a small mehndi at home.
usually people go for lightweight fabrics, especially if you are gonna be putting them up yourselves at home and you can't have too much in the way of fixing them. china silk is cheap and comes in a lot of colours.
there are loads of places in london. where do you live?
Re: drapery fabrics
well u could use plain dupattas that would look really good otherwise you could go to asian shops that sell materials, otherwise there is one website Party supplies and party products for the UK they sell rolls of organza that would look good aswell. also jus idea for ur mendhi i jus bought some gold trays from poundland and i saw little bowls in indian shops as its diwali soon so you could put mendhi in a bowl and then oil in another and then ubtan in another and then decorate the trays with candles and petals that would look pretty..if u need some more ideas jus say.!

Re: drapery fabrics
contact silsila. she's in the UK, i'm not sure where, but she's got her own wedding decor business and her drapings are lovely!
search our her group on facebook- Rang Wedding Services
my budget has become ridiculously tight....why are weddings so expensive???
therefore i wana do something myself...
Try venisons on ealing rd. They have really cheap silky saris for a few pounds that you could rip into 2 and drape. Did this for a friends wedding in rich jewel colours and it looked great and was cheap
Re: drapery fabrics
you need to get organza material thats what we normally use when we're doing stages etc
Re: drapery fabrics
