I thought the music for Seeli Baarish was pretty good. Last I checked, there weren’t too many audios out exclusively for dramas (except Daira, Umrao Jan Ada, Anarkali…)
Does anyone know if there are good audios out there for drama music now? I’m so not updated on what’s on the market.
dis is what i am wonndering abt nowadays..if the sound tracks for all these dramas actually r avialbale in market..i wanted those gazals for lab-e-darya and sound tracks for waada.does anyone in pak knows anything abt it

Aik Naye Morr Par is on Pakhits - they're the only ones with recording of drama songs up.
And its not even an updated collection.

Well I'd like to know where you'd get soundtracks like Seeli Baarish and Behlawa from -- these are Farooq Mengal's dramas - and those dramas always have an interesting soundtrack..

Yep. These Farooq Mengal productions usually turn out to be pseudo films - music included. Somewhere around late 2001 this drama 'MAYA' came out which he directed - and that too had a fabulous score. The title song, sung by Tina Sani for the drama, was pretty interesting. I guess the soundtracks would be available [maybe on request] at the big audio stores in Pakistan?

PCG, the Behlawa soundtrack is there on Pakhits too. The Alaap is simply fabulous.
One of my favorites soundtracks is ‘Aansoo’ By Ali Azmat. It is just so expressive :k:
and yeah ofcrouse the soundtrack from drama ‘Laila Majnu’ that made Ahmad Jahnzeb popular overnight..
The drama to start all this trend of having a 'soundtrack' was Des Pardes. The title track sung by Uzma Shah was an above average one, a lot of techno stuff. It really cought on after that, so much so that you have artistes like Ahmed Jahanzeb whose career was launched with a drama soundtrack!
Yeah saby, the Aansoo track rocked alright. The Laila Majnoo song was pretty good in its own right too. And then there was 'Teri Yaad' from Thori Khushi Thora Ghum which became a RAGE when people had given on Pakistani pop.
