Because people in Pakistan are not talking much about breast cancer because of cultural and social issue, while every year around 40,000 women dies in Pakistan because of this.
Drama is most powerful medium in Pakistan, so they can highlight this issue through dramas in a better way. But they are not doing it.
Go protest infront of GEO channel or something to highlight this issue And why they must announce their medical problems to the world? Its upto them if they want to keep it confidential…there are documentries for such things if you know
You make a good point Ali. It's definitely something that should be highlighted in the media. I would like to see the gazilion useless morning talk shows discuss this life threatening disease and other similar issues rather than hand out lawn ke suites. It's appalling how many women choose to ignore this disease out of "shyness" and only discover it during the last stages when it is incurable.

But keep in mind when they'll be raising awareness on this cancer, they'd just talks about it and not actually show it. Just wanted to clear up the misconception you might...heck...most likely have...

In any case, what is there to show anyways??? most woman don't show any external symptoms on their breasts!

I agree with the OP... they could show a short drama or two on this topic. This is nothing to be embarassed about or something that shouldn't be talked about. It is a serious illness and using media to spread awareness is an excellent idea. A lot of such cases go undiagnosed or diagnosed at a very late stage. If t hey don't talk about or show dramas related to other life threatening illnesses.. well two wrongs don't make a right. Atleast they should do a program on a morning show or something.
I agree too. Drama producers show all kinds of issues of pakistani society in their dramas these days, some very disturbing ones so why not this issue. Amina I'm really quite surprised by your posts.
