Its stated in Quran “Salam un Alal Mursaleen” (Peace be on Messengers).
All Messengers’ souls are in heavens, near to Allah still Allah uses “Alal” not “Alaykum” to us how to pay salam and durood on Messengers AS. (Alayhi Salam = Peace be on them)
In Durood, we ask Allah to send his blessings and peace on Prophet Mohammad SAW. We do not call Prophet SAW himself.
Christians did Ghulu (increament) in love of Esa AS. Their religion is based on “love”.
We must love Rasoolullah SAW,it’s part of our eman. But we shall not give him divine attributes.
