Re: Aitzaz Ehsan resigns
^You're a joker of the biggest degree. How about a link for starters so we all know what the article says as we see it, is really what is said. :)
Secondly lets weigh all the events that took place thus far:
March- SC Staff dismissed illegally and sent packing - No condemnation/investigation
May 12 massacre- No investigation
Supreme court issued orders to let NS enter and stay- He's humiliated before the entire world, shoved and pushed, and then deported from the airport- No investigation. No one held responsible
Countless number of people go missing under the disguise of terrorism- No investigation
November bombing - No accountability
Civilians, Human rights activists, Lawyers, Protestors Beaten, tortured, jailed- No investigation, no accountability
Hell, investigation is a long shot. These very ministers were too busy cooking up recipes for more chaos and power-handling to even accept responsibility because all this happened under their watch.
Yet, this guy gets slapped around and all of a sudden democracy is in danger? Are you kidding me!!!!! What him and Musharraf's hand-picked goons have been doing for the past 8+ years is much much worse. Countless number of lives have been lost. No one came forward to apologize, accept responsibility, and/or resign.
Arbab rahim gets smacked around and PPP orders an investigation promptly and condemns what happened.
S. Afghan gets slapped around and SC Bar President resigns over it, and another investigation is called for.
I say Aitzaz Ehsan is more democratic than Musharraf and Co. will ever be! They should learn from him. He was the first one who came on the scene and rescued Afghan. Where was the Governor of Punjab at the time? Who btw is still in-charge until Punjab assembly takes oath.
Atleast the likes of Aitzaz, M.A. Malik, and others are ashamed over what has happened. A quality Musharraf never can, never will possess.
So cry all you want, make all the noise. It doesn't change the facts that a few slaps are a bargain.
I do think it's extremely sad, and should not have happened. But lets not go overboard.
Blind followers of the dictators, his attitude, his policies are the kinda danger that faces pakistan.
Pray for Pakistan.
now here is the guy who sees the 'whole picture' clearly... its quite amazing how mush supporters try to twist and sensationalize everything at every given opportunity. how can anyone be so blind to see the truth..
